We are pleased to announce that we have now opened up our new website dedicated to Henry du Roure, secretary-general of the Sillon, later killed in action in September 1914.

As well as links to online articles by Henry du Roure and other resources, we are also publishing the biography of Henry du Roure by his Sillonnist colleague, Léonard Constant.

Keep checking for updated material.

Marc Sangnier on peace

posted 12 Aug 2011 02:31 by Stefan Gigacz   [ updated 12 Aug 2011 02:42 ]

This week we have posted two new articles by Marc Sangnier, both on peace.

The first is "Le combat pour la paix," being the preface to his book of the same name. Written in 1936, it is a call to take action as war clouds gather over Europe and the world.

The second article, "Vers la paix du monde," which is no doubt one of his earliest public calls for reconciliation following the savagery of the Great War, is a talk given in Paris in 1921 at the 1st International Democratic Congress that he organised.
